Capture your children's school memories year by year in a scrapbook. Create all of the pages at one time, and then add photos and information as the years go by. It will be a wonderful gift when your child becomes a high school graduate.
Below are instructions to create one base page in the scrapbook. You may want to change the layouts and colors for year to keep it fun.
  1. 1 sheet 12x12 red cardstock
  2. 1 sheet of kraft colored cardstock
  3. 2 sheets of 12x12 printed papers that coordinate
  4. 1 sheet 8.5x11 of green cardstock
  5. 1 8.5x11 of brown cardstock
  6. 1 sheet 8.5x11 of cream cardstock
  7. School-Memories.pdf
  8. Letter stickers
  9. Printer
  10. Taperunner
  11. Scissors
  12. Ruler
  1. Sketch a simple apple on the red sheet of cardstock as large as you can. Trace over the line with black marker.
  2. Print School-Memories.pdf on the cream sheet of cardstock.
  3. Stick the subtitles on the apple, leaving enough room for you and your child to write
  4. Cut 2-3 inches of printed paper you want to show more of
  5. Cut a 1 inch strip of the second printed paper
  6. Adhere the thicker strip along the bottom of the page and thinner strip an inch above the large strip.
  7. Fill in the information in the apple. If your child is younger, it's a nice idea to have your child write his/her name and you can fill in the rest. That way, you can see the progression of your child's handwriting as the years go on. Empty spaces can be used to label items on other pages like artwork, report cards, etc. For older children, they can fill in the information on his/her own.
  8. Adhere apple half flush against the left side of the layout
  9. Cut out a stem and leaf from the brown and green cardstock respectively.
  10. Crop and place your child's school photo on the layout, leaving some room for the title
